Resolve chieftaincy disputes in Bono-Minister to House of chiefs

The Bono Regional Minister, Evelyn Kumi Richardson has charged the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs to resolve the various chieftaincy disputes in the Region.

She noted that the House has nine vacant seats, a development that she said could affect the splitting of Ahafo and Bono East from the original house.

Speaking on the last day of her familiarization tour of her region accompanied by her deputy Siaka Stevens, the regional minister stressed the need for the chiefs, who were drawn from the various paramouncies in Sunyani West District, to contribute their quota to the resolution of the chieftaincy disputes.

Nana Abena Boatemaa II, Queen mother of Odumasi No. 1 Traditional Council who doubles as the National President of the Queen Mothers Association of Ghana, called on the Minister to work towards an improvement in the standard of health delivery in the district.

She noted that the construction of a district health hospital in Sunyani West would help improve access to health care.

The queenmother asked the regional minister to, as a matter of urgency, adopt measures to rehabilitate the various deplorable roads in the district.

The regional minister later inspected ongoing construction works on the District Assembly block, the ring road linking Sunyani to Odumase and to Fiapre and a district court at Fiapre.

In Sunyani Municipality, she met with heads of department and Assembly members and expressed heer appreciation to them for their sterling contributions during her tenure as the Municipal Chief Executive.
