Berekum PWDs lock up Stool Land office over discrimination

People Living with Disability (PWDs) in Berekum Municipality have locked up the office of stool lands for being discriminated against by its district manager.

The office of the stool lands is located inside the building owned by the People with Disability association.

In a press statement they expressed worry about the harsh treatment meted to them by the district manager, Mr. Benjamin Kwakye.

The secretary for the association, Mr. Kweinortey Romanu, explained that Mr Kwakye ‘’has no respect for us’’ and as such they could not cope with him in the same environment.

He cited that one Daniel Aboagye, a physically challenged person, was posted to the office for national service but Mr Kwakye rejected him and accepted the able bodied ones.
