Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel George Nettey says he will never report his attack to the Ghana Police because he does not trust Ghana’s security.
According to him, the police did nothing to help him when he was being attacked by masked men wielding guns at the Bawaleshie Presbyterian school park in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency.
“The Ghana police service that had armed men who were standing there and a member of parliament was being assaulted and did nothing and you want me to go and report to the police. I don’t trust the police led by David Appeatu” he stated on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Thursday.
Sam George was assaulted during the confusion at the La Bawaleshie Presby school polling station in the early hours of Thursday morning.
He, however, accused the NPP of unleashing vigilantes on him.
The NPP, however, denies any of the accusations levelled against them.
According to Mr Buabeng Asamoah, the NDC is making a mountain out of a molehill.
But the traumatized NDC MP alleged members of the NPP’s Invincible Forces dressed up as National Security officials attacked him and fired several shots at him.
“Those who attacked me this morning were hoodlums claiming to be National Security Operatives. There were Police & Military presence at where I was attacked but no intervention was made” he stated.
This notwithstanding, Mr Nettey still traumatized said, he is doing well.
