Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Grace Ashy is delighted by the indictment of former boss Ghana Football Association (GFA) Kwesi Nyantakyi.
According to her she was never paid for any of her campaign song for the Ghana Black Stars.
She has dared Kwesi Nyantakyi, to come out to attest to any form of payment of songs she produced for the national team.
Ashy said the only form of payment she ever got from the former boss of GFA were commendations for efforts she put in the songs.
Grace Ashy who was a major sensation in Ghana’s gospel scene some years ago said she composed songs to support the Ghana Black Star out of love for the team and patriotism.
Speaking to Rainbow radio in Accra, She noted that she got tired of chasing for payment and finally gave up.
‘’I was not scared about the Anas exposé because since 2006 till now, Kwesi Nyantakyi never paid me a coin for any of the songs I produced for the national team. I am daring the former GFA boss to deny or confirm my claims. The GFA did not pay me a penny. I always gave him my songs, he will play the songs but he will not pay me. He will only commend my efforts but never gave me a pesewa,’’ Grace Ashy said.
The musician also expressed her disgust at the level of corruption in Ghana Football revealed in Anans’ #12 exposé.
She also demands an audit of GFA because she believes her campaign songs were budgeted for.
“The GFA never paid for any of my travel expenses. You can call him and find out for yourself. I was never paid. I was always going to the GFA, but I was never paid a penny.’’
