The Vice President for the Ghana National Bamboo and Rattan Artist Association (GNBRAA), George Sarpong is calling on government to support the association in expanding their businesses as the association plays a role in the development of the country.
He has however called on government to begin allocating part of the nation’s budget to the development of artisans in the country adding that it will be in a right direction.
According to the National Vice Chairman for the GNBRAA, this will help reduce the increasing rate of unemployment in the country.
Mr. Sarpong made this known in an interview with Ark FM’s Rosemond Kissiwaa during a visit to his workshop at Mantukwa in the Sunyani West District of the Brong Ahafo Region.
He however attributed the low patronage of made i Ghana goods to the lack of attention from the past and current government thereby attributing the high preference for foreign products.
The National Vice Chairman for the GNBRAA however called on Ghanaians to contribute their quota towards the development of Ghana by purchasing Made in Ghana goods.
