‘Temper Justice With Mercy’ B/A NPP Council Of Elders Begs For Obiri Boahen

The Brong Ahafo Regional council of elders for the New Patriotic Party NPP is calling on the party’s leadership to temper justice with mercy and pardon the embattled deputy secretary of the party Lawyer Obiri Boahen.

The party elders believe the latter has served the party well and needs to be forgiven for his unguarded comments.

However, the admission of guilt by Nana Obiri Boahen is enough sign of remorse to be pardoned by the party.

In a leaked audio, Deputy NPP General Secretary, Nana Obiri Boahen, could be heard saying the Presidency gifted the party GH¢50 billion in support of the conduct of the party’s 2017 National Annual Delegates Conference held at Cape Coast last August.

In that leaked tape, Nana Obiri Boahen also lamented how unfairly he was being treated as an official of the governing party.

Addressing the media, Chairman for the council Mr. Gabriel Kwaku Awuah said, Nana Obiri Boahen has duly paid his dues to the party when all fell down in the region and deserves to be forgiven.

He said, on number of occasions the lawyer has voluntary follow up party court cases amongst which the slain Abuakwa North Member of Parliament J.B Dankwah Adu cannot be overlooked.

Mr. Awuah however stated with regret how the region has been neglected as even attempt to meet the President after his assumption of office has always been blocked.

He believe it is time views and suggestions from leaders of the party in the region are welcomed for the development of the party and the region at large.
