Sunyani East NPP Elections Update: Court Case Adjourned To Later Date

A Sunyani High Court has adjourned a case filed against the Sunyani East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party which culminated into an injunction on the constituency’s executive election which was originally slated for Saturday 24th February, 2018.

This means the election is suspended indefinitely until the matter is dissolved logically.

The injunction follows a suit filed by some supposed party members who are claiming that the five member election committee charged by the party to supervise the constituency’s polling station elections did not avail them fair hearing when the presented their denial by the constituency executives to allocate them nomination forms let alone filing the forms.

The supposed aggrieved members through their lawyer Mr. Apraku Nketia sent the matter to the Sunyani High court for redress. The case was called the 3rd time today but judgment could not be delivered. The judge presiding over the matter at the high court, Justice Kofi Akuffo adjourned the case to a later date.
