The Ministry of Interior has on the advice of the Ashanti Regional Security Council, reviewed the curfew hours imposed on the Tafo Township in the Ashanti Region.
A statement from the Interior Ministry indicated that the curfew starts from 11 pm to 4 am effective April 1.
A conflict over a piece of cemetery land in February this year, led to clashes between some Muslim youth and the youth of the area backed by the Tafo Traditional Council.
The incident led to the death of one person.
The Ministry in a statement also reviewed curfew hours in the Alavanyo/Nkonya townships in the Volta Region and renewed that of Bunkprugu, Bimbilla and Kpatinga in the Northern region.
In the Alavanyo/Nkonya area, the curfew now begins from 11:00pm and ends at 5:00am while that of Bunkprugu is from 8:00pm to 6:00am all effective April 5.
The curfew hours of Bimbilla is between 6:00pm to 6:00am while Kpatinga and its environs starts from 12 midnight to 4am.
The ministry also cautioned all persons in these towns against carrying arms and ammunitions.
